AG Poll: King Ahead 49-25
The latest poll for Attorney General shows Democratic Attorney General candidate Gary King with a healthy lead over Republican Jim Bibb. OK, this isn't just a healthy lead this is a NFL-Wide-Receiver-his-prime lead. Ultra-healthy.
Of the 500 likely voters, 49 percent said they would vote for King. Only 25 percent supported Jim Bibb in the upcoming elections. That leaves (for those of you who aren't so hot at math), 26 percent undecided. That is still a huge amount of undecideds, but not surprising since most of the attention this year is on the razor-shave close Madrid-Wilson race.

Among Republicans, King is actually getting 28 percent of the vote. Bibb, on the other hand, can only pick up six percent of Democratic voters. Fully 50 percent of Independents are undecided. But 38 percent of those who have decided are on the side of King.
This shows that King's lead has not eroded since the last poll, back on July 7. That poll showed King with a 49-28 lead. Bibb's 3 percent loss of support is within the margin of error.
Basically, unless King does something very, very stupid in the next couple of weeks, he will be our state's next Attorney General. Also check out Democracy For New Mexico for their view on the poll.
